There’s a new version of WP Auctions in town, the plugin that turns your WordPress blog into an fully fledged auction site.The new version has some new features, like the ability to customise the automated emails sent by the plugin, the image upload process has been improved and there’s now a facility to allow remote debugging (if it’s ever needed).

We’ve just dropped a new release of WP Auctions, the auction plugin for WordPress. This new version has some great features; and the best one is the fact that we’ve turned away from using a custom image uploader to using the built-in WordPress one. This means that you can automatically use any image in the Media Library, and any plugins that tie into it.

It’s a great little plugin and worth a try. Regardless of whether you’re selling a car, or your services to help someone find the best life insurance, running an auction could be a fun way to generate interest in your service or product. It’s not expensive, so give it a whirl.

I came across a great review of our WP Auctions plugin that I built with Hyder down at WP Tavern, a website that specialises in all things WordPress related. We’ve put a tremendous amount of effort into the plugin, and it’s always great to get feedback from someone who’s tried out the plugin. On the whole, the review is positive, though there are some takeaways for us that we can build into improving the plugin.

In case you haven’t come across it, WP Auctions is an auction plugin for WordPress that lets you sell things right off your blog. You can sell anything from that old tv stand sitting in the corner of your room, to specialise pointe shoes to consultancy services; anything you can think about. It’s a great little plugin and we have great plans for it in the future too.

Ever wanted to auction your stuff, but were worried about the charges eBay levies on you? Well, there’s a brand new release of WP Auctions, the auction plugin for WordPress that lets you sell items right off your blog. The new release has a number of new features, including:

The ability to restrict bidders to verified WordPress users
The ability to place auctions in a post or page
Different payment methods are accepted
Loads more new features

Personally, I think the biggest different for me is that I switched from using Prototype for the AJAX functionality to jQuery, mainly because Prototype doesn’t play nice with other libraries. I’m quite impressed with jQuery and will definitely use it more in the future.
