WordPress Mobile Edition

Have you checked how your WordPress blog looks on a mobile device? Some themes look fine, but more often than not they can look a right mess. Images can be displaced, look huge or just totally break your site. This is where WordPress Mobile Edition comes in. It detects if your blog is being viewed on a mobile browser and if it is, is switches the theme to a special mobile-friendly one. This means that users on mobiles get a good rendition of your website.

The great thing about the plugin is that all you need to do is install the plugin and it will take care of everything for you. No messing around with themes or stylesheets or images; the plugin does it all. So next time you look at your website you won’t see that giant exit sign in the middle of the page.

    Hi.

I’ve just checked out your blog on my Blackberry and I got the web version!

Have you seen my new mobile plugin for WordPress? It’s called the Wapple Architect Mobile Plugin for WordPress and it does exactly what it says – it mobilizes your blog!

It’s written in a mobile independant markup language, which means that it can be delivered in the language the phone requires. It has more options and more functionality than any other mobile plugin and handles more devices.

Best of all, you can style your site to match the web version so that users get a really consistent user experience. You’ve got loads of control over style and you can upload logos. Any images in your posts get dynamically resized too so they’ll never overlap the screen.

If you want to take a look, the homepage can be found here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wapple-architect/ – it’d be great to hear what you thought, any feedback is very much appreciated!
